The best thing to do, in terms of a professional career is to go where the up and coming people are. Big cities tend to offer more options when it comes to schooling for something like that. Try to get in at a well established school. In terms of a career, it will open more doors for you, it might be worth the investment, even if staying in your hometown is cheaper. You might have to make this sacrifice right now, in order to benefit later on. I do not know a lot about beauty schools, but I know that it would probably be wiser to go somewhere in your hometown for cheaper because of the current recession and the fact we have not reached the lowest point of it yet. Although, if you went somewhere such as Chicago or New York they may give you more experience and new and better things to learn you would not have learned at your hometown, so it is probably a situation of cost vs. experience, depends on which one you want the most and are looking for. If you are looking for a cheaper route and learn a lot stay in your hometown, but if you want to learn a lot more new things and have new experiences go to Chicago or New York. It doesn't matter what Cosmetology school you go to. In the end, They teach you the same thing, and you end up with the same license. It's up to you, Whether you keep uptodate with the current styles or not. Cheaper schools would be better. You would have to find a apartment and whatnot in the bigger city, Which would cost even more money(Because it is alot of money to even go to a cheaper school.).


If you want to become a Celebrity hairstylist, It depends on your talent, and how driven you are. You have to start out at the bottom and make your way to the top. If you did go to a bigger school, It wouldn't do much, because like I said, If your good, You can go far. If not, You won't.
