Is there a TV series, and oldish one, where it was like based off of Beauty and the Beast? It had real people?

I thought It was called The beast, but The Beast is a series coming out this year. I think that the beast dude is living in the sewers, secretly solving crimes, when he falls in love with this human girl. What is this called? It sounds kind of like Buffy, or the spinoff Angel. Angel runs a supernatural detective agency in LA and spends a lot of time in the sewers (Vampyre, sunlight, hide).





In Season 3, Angel falls in love with a human woman. In Season 4 they have a monster called The Beast (guy with horns) and he falls in love with a human woman .... uh, technically it's the same human woman.
