You are right being beautiful doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get the one you love and everything is going to be perfect. Its a great thing to have but its not the only thing. Also being intelligent, and a good person count for a lot in every success in life. There are a lot of people who are in love but can't be toguether for whatever reason. Only you know why you and your ex are not toguether. But right now the important thing is to focus on you. Live your life and reach your goals whether they're career wise or education wise. You'll surprise yourself and realize that you're not thinking about him as much. And maybe you'll meet someone who you'll feel is right for you and be much happier than you were with your ex. If you and him are meant to be it will happen whether its next week or next year or in 10 years. So keep your mind busy with today and leave the rest to the future. Men tend to see goodness in beauty, even if it's not really there.


Women tend to see beauty in goodness, even if it's not really there.
Sometimes people judge the book by the cover...it's like food, if it looks good you assume must taste good...which sometimes it's not the case..Only when you grow up as a person and recognize that beauty's only a part of a person but what really counts is inside...then you can make a difference between beauty and feelings.

I think you mean to say: Why do people associate BEAUTY with ATTRACTION? When you're drawn to someone who has BEAUTY, you develop a stronger attraction to that person rather than toward someone who isn't BEAUTIFUL. Sometime the ATTRACTION alone can be so strong that the person would often come to believe they're in LOVE with that BEAUTY.
Because many fall for outer beauty. At the end of the day if they find the inner beauty equally good, that relation lasts for long otherwise..... ends within no time.
