Because most people never have a single original thought a day in their life and only claim to find the cultural standard of beauty attractive because someone on TV told them to. Because beauty has been and will forever be defined by who is on the top of the totem pole so to speak and that goes along with race and social status, etc.
Sad but true.
And if a person doesn't think the same narrowminded way as everyone else they are considered to have a fetish.
