Negative. All it is is pageant moms trying to live vicariously through their children since they themselves were never beauty queens. Instead of letting their kids just enjoy their childhood, they're covering their little faces with lipstick and mascara and telling them things like ';make sure you smile pretty!'; Honestly, some people just shouldn't be parents.Child Beauty Pageants: Positive or negative experience for kids?
I did them as a child and it hasn't really affected my life at all and I'm 22 now.





Personally though I would never put my child in them because pedophiles are everywhere now and I just don't want my child doing pageants.
With these parents who tend to go to extremes, I think it can becomea very negative experience for children. Let kids be kids and enjoy their childhood, I say. ---------------------------------
Negative experience. Kids should be kids. They shouldn't have to worry about being perfect, and winning competitions.. it's all about having fun with life once you're young..
Negative. I find people who want to see children walking around in heels and makeup disturbing. The whole concept is creepy and weird.
Negative. I agree with all the users about dressing 5 year olds up like women. Also, I think it teaches little girls that looks are more important.
I think its okay when the kids are Babies... but when they hit the Jon Benet level and the mothers start spray paintin the little girls faces makin em look like Bratz dolls... its too Damn much right there.
Negative, it makes me sick to see a 5 year old dressed like a little whore :(
