I need an artist linked to Beauty or Fashion?

For my art exam i need to do 2 artist studies.


I need the names of as many artists as you can think of whos work can be somehow linked to Beauty or Fashion ?

I would try looking on artchive.com and see if you can find anyone.


I would look at Frida Kahlo as she done self-portraits where she painted herself rather manly, which is a contrast to feminine beauty, because she was in an accident which left her unable to have children and therefore did not feel like a woman.


Another artist I would look at would be Gustav Klimt who's work I think could be linked to beauty.


Another obvious one would be Andy Warhol whose paintings were inspired by popular culture, things such as fashion and beauty.


For the fashion side of things you could use a lot of different portraits and dicuss which era there clothing was from and it reflected the time correctly.


One famous painting that could be used in this way could be The betrothal of the Arnolfini as at first look the woman apperas to be pregnant be it is in fact just her dress.
